Frans completed the Oakfields College Sound Engineering course at the Pretoria campus. After graduating, Frans left South Africa to work in Vancouver, Canada.
He began working as a staging specialist at a company called Scene Ideas. He has since started other projects and has worked as a production and entertainment co-ordinator for Eco Fashion Week held in Vancouver.
His latest position is venue manager at the Vancouver International Children's Festival.
